It is vital that the lock itself has a few things to keep your home secure. the first thing to check is that it is an anti snap lock. This means that the lock will snap in a position, which will leave most of the lock still in place. An anti drill lock is also important. This means that it makes it much harder to drill the lock out and open the door. The lock must fit the door correctly and must not overhang the door handle by more than 5mm.
